Cast Stone - Wet Pour

Cast Stone (Wet Pour) 04720:

A highly refined building material used primarily in masonry trim applications.  Cast Stone offers a durable, cost effective alternative to natural cut stone that can be customized to color preference and delivers a consistent, attractive appearance.  There are two different methods of production (described below).

The Wet Pour Method (similar to Architectural Precast Concrete) involves a mix design that includes cement, fine aggregate (sand), coarse aggregate (stone), water and applicable admixtures.  This wet concrete material is batched, poured into molds and stripped the following day, once the concrete has hardened.  Post production finishing is commonly required to eliminate air voids on surfaces that are exposed to view.  Acid washing is the standard final finish, removing the concrete skin and slightly exposing the fine aggregate, creating an attractive, consistent appearance that simulates natural stone.

Typical applications of this product include sills, headers, capstones, veneer units, water tables, decorative accents, etc.
